The price of wood and pellets has increased by over 43 percent. And this, the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli considers as disturbing.

Despite this, Rizvanolli says that the ban on pellet export has somewhat eased the situation.

“For the price of pellets, the price of wood, since they are also very worrying for us as an institution, and I know that they are also very worrying for the citizens. As for the price of pellets, we stopped the export of pellets about three weeks ago, which means that the pellets produced in Kosovo, that these last few weeks are sold only in Kosovo, I think that this has eased the situation to some extent “, she said.

A ton of this fuel, last year, cost about 200 euros, while today it costs up to 450.

The price for one meter of wood has gone up to 100 euros in different cities of Kosovo.

On the other hand, wood and pellets are seen by the citizens as an opportunity to heat during the winter after the increase in the price of electricity and frequent reductions.
