The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Faton Peci today during the day visited the village of Domanek in Drenas, where he was recieved by the farmers of this village, most of whom were already developing their agricultural acitivity.

On this occasion, the Minister of HRD, Faton Peci informed them that the process of evaluating the applications for the Direct Payments Program for this year is near completion and that from next week the beneficiaries within this program will be announced.

“There are such farmers all over Kosovo, and I, as a minister, will continue to work for the good of the agricultural sector, treating these farmers with dignity as they deserve”, he said after these visits minister Peci.

According to a communiqué, the families visited by Minister Peci cultivated different types of agricultural crops, each with more potential than the other, such as: wheat, corn, hazelnuts, chestnuts, walnuts, etc. for which the minister promised that we will continue to support them.

While, on the other hand, farmers from the village of Domanek informed the minister that thanks to the increase in financial support through the Direct Payments Program, they will double the areas with autumn and spring crops.
