October 10 has been announced by the United Nations (UN) as World Mental Health Day.

This date is important, especially for societies that are still unstable and that have emerged from traumatized societies, such as countries that have gone through wars or conflicts.

This date is usually marked with numerous activities, where state institutions show their care towards this dangerous category, making it clear to the carriers of mental health diseases, that they too, like everyone else, can lead their lives everyday as close to normal, with solidarity, public demonstrations, or even protests.

Mental health in the modern era is increasingly a concern for authorities, as it is estimated that more than 450 million people suffer from mental disorders in the world today.
