Jane Powell, star of some of Hollywood’s most popular songs, has died at the age of 92
Powell died Thursday at her Wilton home, her friend Susan Granger told CNN on Friday.

The mega star of the 40s and 50s music movies, died after a successful career.
Powell was born in 1929 in Portlang, Oregon and was shown to be a talented actress, singer and ballerina at a very young age.
She appeared on radio and cinema from the age of 5, before making her screen debut at the age of 15 in the 1944 film “Song of the Open Road”.
Powell died of natural causes in the house she had shared with her fifth husband, the late actor Dick More.
