While the United Union of Education in Kosovo demanded that 100 euros be added to the salary of all teachers until the approval of the Salary Law, Prime Minister Albin Kurti did not agree with this.

Even while they continued the strike, Prime Minister Kurti declared that prices in Kosovo have not increased only for teachers and that according to him the increase was for everyone and affected everyone.

Related to this, the former mayor of Prishtina, Shpend Ahmeti, recently reacted.

Ahmeti repeated what Kurti said about prices, as he said that inflation has not affected everyone equally.

He added that a deputy was deprived of two steaks and a salmon per month, but a teacher was deprived of 2-3 liters of oil and 2-3 degrees of heating.

“It is true that prices have not increased only for teachers, but inflation has not affected everyone equally. For example, a member of parliament took away two steaks and a salmon a month, but a teacher took away 2-3 liters of oil and 2-3 degrees of heating, etc. Some even bread”, he wrote.
