“Take action!”
With this call, the oil workers in Kosovo have sent a letter to Prime Minister Albin Kurti to oppose the practice of setting ceiling prices for derivates.
They are saying that the seller’s price is below the buyer’s price, until this decision is taken by Government, they are describing it as scandalous.
“The purchase price for oil today is 1.75 Euro, yesterday it was 1,68 Euro, while the day before yesterday; 1,66 Euro. While the ceiling price set by the Government, most of them risk the bankruptcy of the oil pumps.
“Decisions of this type are forcing companies to operate with huge losses and very soon many of the companies will go bankrupt due to the wrong approach of the Government in setting the ceiling price. Where both large companies and individual companies with the lowest operating costs are equalized. This practice will surely bankrupt many companies and thousands of workers will be out of a job,” the letter says.
At the end of the letter, the oil workers beg the Government to change this decision, while saying that they are ready to talk with it.
